Creative Direction

Phoenix Ash Music Video

At first armed with only a song and translated lyrics, our creative team pitched and created a music video for the band Phoenix Ash to promote their boundary-breaking, first all-Japanese single “RAIN.”

Client: Phoenix Ash
Project: “RAIN” Music Video
Roles: Ideation, Video Production, Motion Graphics, Editing
Duration: 2 Years
Location: Oakland, CA

This music video featured end-to-end production, from conceptual ideation, storyboard and animatic, location scouting, direction, to post-production, and everything both technical and creative in-between.

We filmed for one day at the 16th Street Train Station in Oakland with an energetic crew of 18 with three set-ups—complete with a dolly, drone, and the ARRI ALEXA Mini LF for stunning cinematography. This is FWC’s biggest passion project to date!
